Nicole was born in Greenwich, Connecticut as a first generation Croatian-American. Growing up in a bilingual household she learned to speak two languages at a young age. She was exposed to learning about culture, strong work ethics, and to always follow her dreams.

Her family took lots of road trips up north to ski and to enjoy the beauty that New England possesses. They fell in love with New Hampshire and moved when Nicole was entering middle school. It was a transition for them all, but it was for the best because growing up in a small town like Wolfeboro was a wonderful experience for her and her younger brother.

In 2001, Nicole graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut with a BA in Graphic Design. After graduating, she entered the corporate world, gaining experience in both Creative and Marketing departments. During her career, Nicole has developed nearly every kind of marketing communications project, including advertisements, collateral, web sites, direct mail and trade shows. She also has extensive experience directing and managing photo shoots and has done so at locations around the world.

Within the last 10 years, Nicole has developed a love of sewing, quilting and fabrics. She uses this love of sewing and quilting to quench her creative thirst in her free time. She refers to sewing and quilting as her therapy.

Today Nicole lives with her husband, daughter, son and yellow lab in the Kansas City area. She currently works from home as a freelance designer and is an active member of the Kansas City Modern Quilt Guild.

She has aspirations of one day becoming a textile designer, designing her own fabric line and owning her own shop.
